The Role

Newhope Capital is seeking a high-conviction Investment Manager to execute our signature Barbell Strategy. You will be responsible for managing tactical exposure across both defensive assets (Treasuries, Gold) and high-convexity growth assets (Crypto, AI Equities). This is not a traditional 60/40 role; we need a trader who understands liquidity cycles and asymmetric payoffs.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute high-frequency tactical allocation trades across US Equities, Crypto (BTC/Alts), and Fixed Income.
• Monitor global macro liquidity conditions to identify 'Risk-On' vs 'Risk-Off' regime shifts.
• Conduct deep-dive research into AI infrastructure (NVDA supply chain) and emerging crypto narratives.
• Manage portfolio risk using convexity hedging strategies to limit downside while capturing upside.
• Collaborate directly with the CIO to refine the fund's proprietary investment thesis.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Hedge Fund, Prop Trading, or VC with a focus on liquid markets.
• Deep understanding of both TradFi (Rates/FX) and DeFi (On-chain analytics) market structures.
• Proven track record of managing risk during high-volatility events (e.g., 2022 drawdown).
• Proficiency in Python/SQL for data analysis and backtesting is a strong plus.
• Bilingual (English/Mandarin) preferred to bridge global markets.
